Consistency check

Check a recipe for missing or unused ingredients

Paste the ingredient list and method. FOOGG flags likely ingredients that never appear in the instructions, possible ingredients mentioned only in the method, duplicate lines and missing quantities.

What this checker does

FOOGG uses deterministic text rules in your browser. It compares ingredient names with the instructions, looks for a small set of common ingredients that appear only in the method, and checks basic list structure.

What it does not do

It does not decide whether a recipe is safe, nutritionally complete or culinarily correct. A flagged item is a reason to review the source, not proof that the recipe contains an error.

Why no AI upload?

For these basic checks, a local rule-based approach is faster, private and predictable. Your pasted recipe does not need to leave the browser.
