Recipe scaler

Scale a recipe to any number of servings

Paste an ingredient list, enter the original and target servings, and FOOGG rescales every ingredient line that starts with a quantity.

How recipe scaling works

FOOGG divides the target servings by the original servings. A recipe going from 4 to 7 servings uses a scale factor of 1.75. Every recognized leading quantity is multiplied by the same factor.

What still needs human judgment

Salt, spices, leavening, pan depth and cooking time do not always behave perfectly linearly. FOOGG handles the arithmetic; you should still review taste-sensitive ingredients and cooking cues.

Have one ingredient that limits the whole batch? Use Scale a Recipe Based on One Ingredient instead.
